Once described by the press as "The John Williams of Peterborough", Andrew Gonoude is the founding director of The Romantic Guitar Agency, with over 19 years playing and performing experience at weddings, dinners, garden parties and church events. Style: Classical, Spanish, Italian, Easy-Listening, Romantic Ballads, Love Songs, Movie Themes and his own material. Christian Praise & Worship songs are also available if required. | "...Andrew....You were brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Thank you once again..." >More Letters "Dear Andrew, I just wanted to write to say a big thank you for Saturday. You played at my daughter Zoe's wedding at Oakham Castle, Rutland and afterwards at The Lady Anne's Hotel, Stamford. The music was wonderful, creating a lovely ambience and lots of guests commented at how lovely it was. Thanks again for helping make the day perfect as we didn't get chance to speak to you before you left. Yours, Julie." >More Letters
Biography:A classical guitarist who currently lives in West Sussex, UK, and who travels throughout Great Britain and has also worked abroad in the United States. He works throughout the UK and has just recently returned from one and a half year's in the Midwest of the USA, working in churches in the Kansas City area. He is a Christian musician, church worship leader and an experienced public performer who plays regularly at weddings, business dinners, garden parties and other special occasions. His audiences range from a handful of people at small venues to many hundreds of people in banqueting halls; from private parties to "VIP" formal dinners.
Clients include wedding parties, hotels, politicians, restaurants, promoters and a large number of entertainment agencies. He has worked extensively for the Butterfly (UK) chain of Hotels in 1996 and 1997, where he provided weekly corporate entertainment for a period of 16 months.
Andrew has entertained the guests of the Prestigious Haycock Hotel, Wansford (UK), performing a concert in the Haycock Courtyard, to the delight of the staff & audience. The Hotel Manager, Mr. Underwood, was quoted as saying that he ‘enjoyed the music & presentation’, and that he ‘would be hiring Andrew again.’ Later that year, Andrew entertained an invited audience at the official opening of the Hotel’s Orchard Conservatory. He is the only musician that the Haycock Hotel is prepared to endorse in its Bridal Information supplement. Andrew is also the only musician endorsed by the "Pronuptia" Bridal Shop in Peterborough, (UK) where he occasionally entertained the customers by playing live during promotional ‘open days.’ Over the last 5 or 6 years Andrew has invested a great deal of time, passion and energy to develop The Romantic Guitar Agency into what it is today; - one of the biggest guitar agencies in Europe!
He still plays at about 20 weddings or business dinners a year, less than in previous years. Although he could play at more events each year, these days he prefers instead to spend most weekends at home with his family and to "let other artists do most of the work if they want to." With over 4,500 visitors logging on to the website each year, this certainly does seem to be the case...! So if you are looking for quality, romantic music for your wedding, played by an experienced and professional musician, we don't think you will be disappointed if you book Andrew’s services.
