Credits:

An internationally respected acoustic guitarist; one of the best and certainly one of the most versatile, with a very extensive and impressive repertoire.
 
He has received international acclaim for his albums.
 
One of his CD's was described by Andy Kershaw as "an excellent album by a wonderful guitar player."
 

Style:

Steel-String Acoustic Guitar, including: Celtic, Elizabethan,  Baroque, Classical, , Latin, Ragtime, Jazz Standards and Blues, including many original compositions.

Biography:

An experienced performer, composer, arranger, teacher and workshop leader, he has played live on several TV and radio programmes, and his music has been used as background in many others (he composed and performed the theme music for the recent Meridian TV series "Ridge Riders").   
 
As a soloist and a member of a band, he has performed at a huge number of folk/roots and blues clubs, Arts Centres, concert venues and festivals around the world. He has released three solo CDs and four books of guitar arrangements, and also worked as an arranger and musician with both professional and youth theatre companies.

 

Recent Venues and Appearances:

Venues include the South Bank Purcell Rooms,  festivals at  Sidmouth, Fylde, Isle of Wight, Jersey, Guernsey, Whitby, Rudelstadt (Germany) and The 'Bruges International,'  Arts Centres and Theatres including Glastonbury, Tunbridge Wells, Leicester Phoenix and The Sheffield Crucible.  
 
These days he concentrates on weddings, conferences and other private functions, mostly in the North of England and Wales.
 
Recent wedding venues include Stanley Castle (Northumberland), Eyam Hall (Derbyshire), Carlton Towers (Selby), Ryber Hall (Matlock)and Brookfield Manor (Hathersage).
 
He has also been involved as Musician in Residence with projects for both Yorkshire and East Midlands Arts.
