| Credits: A professional duo formed in 1994, who regularly perform at weddings guitar festivals, recitals, flower festivals, charity concerts, corporate receptions, Christmas parties, Birthday celebrations, conference dinners and bat mitzvah’s around the south of England. Style: They play classical and light classical music from around the world, including Tango music from Argentina, popular music from Brazil, Baroque, Classical and Romantic music from Europe. A wide range of classical and light classical encompassing 17th & 18th Century classics by Handel, Purcell, Bach, Hayden, Mozart; South American popular tunes, Spanish jotas and tangos, Popular Classics, Theme tunes, Jewish traditional songs. Biography: The Flute & Guitar Duo formed in 1994 when they were studying at the Royal College of Music. They began their musical careers at the Royal College of Music, where they studied with Graham Mayger and Christopher Hyde-Smith. Since graduating they have studied with Celia Chambers, Patricia Morris and at the Britten-Pears School. They have given concerto performances in Paris, Dieppe, the Loire Valley, Lincolnshire, and in Suffolk at Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Ipswich Corn Exchange, Wattisham. | They have also given chamber recitals with other concert groups. They gave the first performances of two pieces written for Quand Venus by Pierre Kolp, performed at the Brussels Conservatoire and subsequently in London, and the Changeling flute sonata by Joanne Johnson, performed at the Brighton International Festival, Adur Music Festival and Royal Holloway College, London. They recently gave a live Radio 3 broadcast with the Britten-Pears wind quintet. Recent engagements have included work with the Sennet Wind Soloists, Talkestra and English Symphony Orchestra, as well as Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 at the Conway Hall, London and soloist with the Handel Festival Orchestra at Fairfield Halls. |
