Style: Flamenco, Classical, Spanish and Latin American plus arrangements of jazz standards, easy-listening, Beatle's/60's ballads and modern popular songs. Biography: He is an Associate of Trinity College of Music, London with a diploma in classical guitar performance. He has a lot of experience playing on cruise ships, in hotels, at corporate functions, and weddings. Inspired by the sound of great players of the instrument twelve years ago, this Flamenco and Spanish guitarist has studied and played the guitar ever since. Partly through his own learning and partly through study with several teachers, notably Segovia-prize winning guitarist Paul Gregory, he has now built an extensive repertoire of evocative music. He now plays Flamenco and music from Spanish classics, working from the Romantic and Classical periods to syncopated Latin-American music and arrangements of pieces from the Renaissance and Baroque era. This combination makes him ideal for weddings or special occasions, parties, corporate events or to add atmosphere to hotels and restaurants. This artist is also available as a superb Flute/Guitar Duet (RA-04) | Recently he has worked on board the world's largest cruise ship, Royal Caribbean's 'Voyager of the Seas' playing solo classical & flamenco guitar. One of the highlights of this performances was playing to a 600-strong audience in the main 3-tier dining area!
In the past he has played in many locations and festivals including the Brighton Festival (England's biggest arts festival), the Chichester Festival, the Lewes festival and the Bedford River Festival. As well as playing solo, he has enjoyed performing with other musicians: duos with two guitars, guitar and mandolin and guitar and violin and with the Brighton Guitar Orchestra and the Tacet Ensemble, the University of Sussex contemporary music ensemble.
He has a new Flamenco CD that will be available in June/July and is also recording a new CD with a soprano which will include songs by Rodrigo, Granados, Sor and arrangements of Brazilian folk songs by Laurindo Almeida.
