Quality Guarantee:

All our artists are seasoned professionals, mostly with around 10 - 20 years playing experience each. We do not employ amateurs or anybody without high quality playing skills or public playing experience.

VAT Free Shopping:

We do not charge VAT or impose any hidden surcharges. The price quoted is all-inclusive.

The only exception is costs for very long distance travel (such as flights from London to Glasgow or flights to Europe, and any airport transfers). In those circumstances, we would encourage you and the artists to agree these costs separately and settle them directly.

Otherwise, if the artist can drive to your location, then the price you are quoted will be all-inclusive, with no hidden extras whatsoever.

Safety First:

All artists carry Public Liability Insurance (P.L.I.) and have Portable Appliance Test (P.A.T.) safety certificates for their sound / electrical equipment.

Choice & Flexibility:

Because we have access to a very extensive database of artists, we will usually be able to provide a good range of professional musicians to match your requirements, and usually at the right price to suit your budget.

Location, Location, Location:

Most of our artists are in the South East, Midlands, and South West UK. We also have some in East Anglia, Yorkshire, Lancashire, Wales, Spain, France and USA.

Other artists are scattered around different parts of the UK and Europe. So most of the time, we should be able to find someone in your area, or someone willing to travel to your area if you live in a remote location.

Professional Representation:

All our bookings are made under an agreement that is signed by client and artist, so that both sides are clear about the dates, times, venue addresses, music styles, etc.

We follow legal, financial and ‘best practice’ guidelines as recommended by the Musicians Union and the Association of Entertainment Agencies, to provide sound, clear and workable booking agreements for you and for our artists.

Repertoire:

All artists have demo music available on their web pages. Naturally, this is just a very small sample of what they can play.

Their entire repertoire is likely to be very extensive which may not be fully listed on their webpages for practical reasons. Please ask if you require more information about their full repertoire.

Requests:

Most of the artists are very happy to take requests and learn something in advance of your event, within the realms of their natural genre and with a few months notice ideally. Please let us know if you have any specific requests.

Credits:
A masterclass duet by 2 Indian Music Teachers who deliver stunning musical performances with or without backing tracks / sequencers. Every aspect of Indian Music, tradition and culture is represented faithfully, with several different percussive instruments. A truly unique duet that will make a fantastic complement to any wedding or special occasion.
Also available as a solo Sitar Player.

Training:
The Tabla Player has 15 years training both in the UK and India at the Naadashree Arts Institute, Karnataka, India. He holds a BA (Hons) Music degree from Dartington College of Arts.
The Sitar Player began studying Indian classical music in the 1970’s using the traditional master/pupil method, eventually becoming proficient in the understanding and use of Rag and Tal, (Melody and Rhythm), and also with the improvisational techniques associated with Northern Indian classical music conventions.
Both artists are Associate lecturers at Universities in the UK, teaching Indian Music, World Music and Ethnomusicology modules.

Style:
Sitar and Tabla Duet with or without backing tracks. Instruments played: sitar, tabla, tabla tarang, darrabouka, daf, cajon, riq, udu, mouth harps, djembe, shakers, woodblocks etc. Also available as a solo Sitar Player.

Playing Experience:
They have played at hundreds of Village Halls, Festivals, Weddings and Business Events, including arts centres, music venues, arts festivals, Melas etc. as well as private events such as parties, weddings, functions etc. throughout Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset, South Wales, Bristol and across the South West. They are available for performances & workshops throughout the UK.

The Sitar Player has performed regularly throughout the West Country and nationally. He has also been involved in a wide variety of collaborations and recordings with Classical Indian musicians. In addition he has worked with practitioners from other musical and artistic genres including Jazz, Rock, Folk, World and Western Classical Music, Dance, and Movement. He has also been involved in a number of school and community arts projects using Indian Folk and Classical music as a focus for inter-disciplinary study.

The Tabla Player works as a freelance musician, primarily as a performer, but also works as an instrumental teacher, session musician and delivers workshops in schools & colleges. His music combines rhythmic ideas and techniques between different instruments and musical forms, both in his solo work and in collaborations. He also combines this with technology through computer based studio recording and his unique live sampling performances. He has performed with various artists and groups including multi instrumental duets based on South Indian devotional music, as well as with Indian classical musicians, using his unique solo multi-percussion live sampling performances.

In 1997 he was the musical director for a Theatre project and worked on a performance that was featured at the Glastonbury festival. In 2007 he worked as the musical director for a dance company, based on the South Coast, which performed across the South West UK.

Recordings and Session Work:
They have both recorded many albums and contributed to recording sessions with other professional musicians for many years.
